Bithica

Private Residence Multigenerational Revit BIM Under Construction

The path between the trees. Bithica takes its name from the Bengali word for an avenue lined with trees: a passage that is also a place. The brief came from a single matriarch client with a clear intent: a home that accommodates multiple generations without erasing the privacy of any of them, stacked across a seven-level section in Bashundhara, Dhaka.

The section is the argument. From a semi-basement with parking and office to a rooftop terrace six floors above, the building organises itself around a central stair that becomes the path the name describes: a vertical avenue through family life. Jali screens of pierced concrete block filter light into the stair at every landing, breaking the climb into a sequence of shaded thresholds. Exposed concrete block, orange steel frames, and coursed red brick establish a material palette rooted in the local building economy while reading as a coherent architectural object from the street.

Working at Architects Design Studio under Principal Ar. Sayeedul Hasan Rana, my contribution covered design development, full Revit BIM documentation, and the regulatory drawing set submitted for authority approval. The project was under construction as of November 2023.
